Make a little time in your schedule to lend a helping hand in our community!

Hope Haven of Cass County - Heroes of Hope Breakfast | Tuesday, Oct. 10, 6:45 a.m. - 10 a.m.

We are looking for about 10 more volunteers to help set up and assist with the Heroes of Hope Breakfast. Hope Haven provides safe shelter, concentrated supportive services, community resources, and education to survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

The event is at The Stanley Event Space, 308 SE Douglas St, Lee's Summit, MO 64063.

Pawsperity & The Giving Grove | Friday, October 27, 9 a.m. - noon

Pawsperity is excited to be partnering with The Giving Grove to plant fruit trees at the residence. As you may know, The Giving Grove is a Kansas City-based non-profit that works to make fresh fruits, berries and nuts available for free to neighborhoods with high rates of food insecurity. The Giving Grove will provide the trees, supplies and training necessary to grow a successful orchard. We'll need to help Pawsperity do the planting and maintenance. We are looking for 10-15 volunteers. Please wear clothing that can get dirty.
