Angel Tree Recap

Thank you to everyone for participating in our Salvation Army Angel Tree program. For more than 40 years, this wonderful program through the Salvation Army ensures that families in need experience the joy of Christmas morning.
The Angel Tree program began in 1979 in Lynchburg, Virginia, when two Salvation Army officers approached a local shopping mall, hoping to station their iconic red Christmas Kettles there. The mall offered the use of their Christmas tree instead. After being inspired by a card from a Hallmark store near the tree, the officers began the program to provide clothing to the children of their town. Since then, the Angel Tree Program has provided toys, clothing and more to millions of children. In 2023 alone, the program collected more than 6 million toy and gift donations.

Coats for Kids Totals - We Beat Our Goal!
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Coats for Kids program this year. Our goal was to raise $32,000 to provide coats for kids in 50 schools across the Kansas City area. We exceeded the goal by several thousand dollars!
Your bake sales, raffles, hot cocoa bars, and more have made it possible to bring smiles and warmth to so many students.
