Team Impact: CCB Helps With Zzzzzz

At our most recent VTO outing on October 21, Kate Melcher, Ridge Barber, Mary O'Connor and Leigh Adams spent time at Sleepyhead Beds doing all kinds of work to help KC kids get some quality sleep. They handed out bedding, pillows, and rails and also sorted and bundled donated bedding.

Sleepyhead Beds is a local nonprofit at 5604 Troost Avenue that accepts gently-used, donated beds and bedding and distributes them at no charge to Kansas City area children and families in need. Since 2010, local children and families have spent an estimated 3,500,000 nights on the 20,000+ mattresses Sleepyhead Beds has distributed. That’s a lot of Zzzzzz.
