Kansas City needs your help! The area supply of donated blood continues to remain critically low. With just one donation, you can save up to three lives!
We have 40 appointments available to donate on July 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1 Ward Parkway.
Community Blood Center (CBC) serves hospitals in the Kansas City metropolitan area, as well as eastern Kansas and western Missouri. CBC provides nearly 200,000 blood products per year to approximately 65 area hospitals and calls upon about 580 donors each day to meet the need for a life-saving gift of blood.
When: Tuesday, July 25, 10 AM-2 PM

Give Diaper Need in KC a Kick in the Back Side!
Join us for a volunteer opportunity at HappyBottoms in August.
Each year HappyBottoms distributes 2.7 millions diapers to families in need. There is no way they could do this without amazing volunteers like you!
Sign up to wrap diaper packages, fill monthly orders for agencies and hospitals, and load diaper orders onto vehicles. Wrapping diapers includes taking diapers out of boxes/bags, counting, bundling together, wrapping with a machine or by hand and attaching labels. Filling orders includes counting and placing diaper packs onto carts/pallets and placing in bags/boxes according to order requirements. There will be light cleaning, sanitizing, recycling and disposing of trash created during the shift.

Head for the Cure to Defeat Brain Cancer Step by Step!
Join your fellow CCBers in the fight against brain cancer.
Country Club Bank is sponsoring the 21st Annual Head for the Cure 5K – Metro KC on Sunday, August 27, to raise awareness, funds and hope for the Kansas City brain tumor community.
The event, which is the largest fundraising 5K in metro KC, will get underway at 8 a.m. at Corporate Woods (Building 40) in Overland Park. A 5K race, Kid’s Fun Run and Virtual registrations are all available.
Funds raised will locally benefit the University of Kansas Cancer Center, Children's Brain Tumor Project, Solace House as well as national brain cancer programs.
When: Sunday, August 27, 2023
7 a.m. - Day of Packet Pick Up and Registration
8 a.m. - 5K Run/Walk Begins
9:15 a.m. - Kid's Fun Run Begins
9:30 a.m. - Survivor and Caregiver Recognitions
9:45 a.m. - Event Awards
