Warm-hearted associates keep local children snug and toasty.
Working with 19 public schools (including Head Start programs) in four southeast school districts, CCB Southeast Regional President Bryan Mallory and his team launched the 18th annual Coats for Kids campaign.
Their goal was to raise $12,000 and collect 402 coats—and they surpassed it! The final 2022 campaign yielded $12,481 and 402 coats. Reaching the goal meant being able to fulfill each family’s request.
Each of the Southeast financial centers posted collection jars at their teller lines this fall, and each center worked toward specific internal fundraising goals.
Here are the individual financial center results:
· Belton raised $598.37 via a chili fundraiser.
· Harrisonville raised $1,523.13 with the help of a bake sale in November.
· Raymore raised $1,03362, also with a bake sale.
· Downtown Lee’s Summit and Wood Chapel held a raffle to help bring in $677.15.
In addition, Team Impact designated Coats for Kids as the Hometown Friday’s recipient in October, contributing $2,108.34.
Coats for Kids is a unique Country Club Bank charitable endeavor started by Senior Vice President Brent Bettels in 2005. That inaugural campaign raised $1,732. Now, after 18 years, CCB has donated 5,105 coats and raised $116,043.
As Bryan noted, “When one member of our community thrives, we all do.” Thank you to all our CCB associates who participated in this year’s Coats for Kids campaign! Lots of warm, generous hearts means a lot of warm children this winter!
