Monet & Friends Alive Continues

The Monet & Friends Alive exhibit, sponsored by Country Club Bank, will run through December 31 at Starlight Theatre. The works of Claude Monet and the Impressionist painters are projected on an enormous scale, illuminating their bold brushstrokes.

And here’s a bit of Monet trivia for the Thanksgiving holiday: In an 1877 painting, Monet captured a flock of turkeys on the grounds of the Chateau of Rottenburg in France. Titled “The Turkeys,” the painting was one of four planned decorative panels the estate’s owner, Ernest Hoschede, commissioned from Monet.
