Every month, Team Impact coordinates community volunteer activities for CCB associates. The best part? You can use your Volunteer Time Off (VTO) to participate!
We’re a little more than a third of the way to our goal of 1,000 hours. The good news is we have multiple VTO opportunities to offer you in July

Catholic Charities of Kansas City - St. Joseph "Driving for Hope" Golf Tournament | July 15 | Lakewood Oaks Country Club - 651 NE St Andrews Circle, Lee's Summit, MO 64064
Join Catholic Charities of Kansas City – St. Joseph and the Knights of Columbus for their first annual golf tournament, Driving for Hope, on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Lakewood Oaks Golf Club in Lee’s Summit.
We need two volunteers to assist with the putting challenge between 9 a.m. and noon.
Volunteers are asked to wear a Catholic Charities branded shirt (which you can pick up the day of the event) and khaki or white shorts or pants.

PawsAbilities | July 30 |1-3 pm | 2073 E. Santa Fe Street, Olathe, KS 66062
Several volunteers are needed for PawsAbilities, an Inclusion Connection's program that strengthens the lives of individuals with disabilities by creating inclusive opportunities for community involvement, access to meaningful employment and better options for independence. PawsAbilitiy students learn job skills baking all-natural dog treats, sewing dog bandanas and crafting other products to sell in their store.
Volunteers will spend time with the Inclusion Connection's students, helping to make dog treats, cut and braid t-shirts for toys and cut and pin fabric for bandanas.
There are only 10 volunteer slots available!
XAMSLAM | Tournament - Saturday, July 27
Country Club Bank is proud to sponsor the seventh annual Maxwell T. Ward Foundation Charity Beach Volleyball Tournament, the “XamSlam." In honor of Max’s life, which was cut short by heart conditions, the foundation was created to celebrate life and help engineer a brighter future for those with cardiovascular illnesses.
Our Friday VTO slots are full, but we are also coordinating a team for the volleyball tournament on Saturday, July 27. The tournament begins at 10:00 am at Shawnee Mission Beach Volleyball, and check in starts at 9:30 am.

Synergy Services Block Party | August 2 | 3-6 pm
Synergy provides a full continuum of care to assist individuals and families with immediate respite from violence, and services which empower clients to find and choose good options for future safety and success. There are 5 spots available!
For the Block Party, volunteers will help run carnival games and man various booths.

Heart-N-Hand Ministries helps restore hope and rebuild lives for those facing homelessness, poverty or unexpected hardships in and around Belton.
After receiving a huge amount of donations, Heart-N-Hand needs help sorting and restocking their food pantry and assisting guests with shopping in the pantry. With school right around the corner, they are looking for volunteers for their Back-to-School Bash.
Kanbe’s Market | Thursday, August 22 | 9 am-11 am
We are looking for 12-20 volunteers to sort donated produce into Kanbe’s four redirection tiers:
Kanbe's Healthy Corner Stores: Brings fresh, affordable produce to underserved areas
Community Partners: Provides fresh produce to more than 35 local partners for neighbors in need
Animal Feed: For nonprofit rescue farms
Compost: Unfit for human and animal consumption
You should wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little dirty and closed-toe shoes.
Please note! Each individual is required to sign up and submit a waiver before beginning their shift; the waiver can be found on the sign-up link.

Please be sure to receive approval from your manager and submit your VTO request through UKG if you plan to volunteer.
