The Renaissance Festival is celebrating 45 years! And CCBers get a ticket discount!

The Kansas City Renaissance Festival, one of the largest in the United States, began in 1977 as a benefit for the Kansas City Art Institute. Now in its 45th season, the Renaissance Festival is a fall tradition for Kansas Citians.

The outdoor fair recreates 16th-century life and events and features themed weekends such as Octoberfest and Swashbucklers & Sirens. Visitors will enjoy jousting knights, costumed performers, comedy, period music, magic, crafts and shopping, games and food.

The festival, held in Bonner Springs, Kansas, will continue through the weekend of October 16.
