Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending

What do you do at Country Club Bank?
I am currently a Senior Vice President, Commercial Lender. Effective April 1, I will succeed Craig Gaffney as Regional President for the Northwest Region. My responsibilities include business development and managing a loan portfolio, where I work closely with customers to assist with achieving their business goals.
How did you get into banking?
My great-grandfather was a banker for 69 years in Wellsville, Kansas, and my dad enjoyed a 30-year career with Country Club Bank as a commercial lender in Leavenworth, Kansas, so I have always been interested in banking. I was drawn to the relationships you can develop through banking and being able to work with different business industries.
What drew you to CCB?
With my dad having a long career at CCB, I was fortunate to have an understanding of the bank’s culture. I knew that if I were to have a career in banking, I wanted it to be at Country Club Bank. I am extremely grateful that Byron Thompson, Paul Thompson, Mike McGannon and Brian Cuddy provided me with the opportunity to work here.
How have you been able to advance your career at CCB?
I am approaching my 16th anniversary with CCB. I have been fortunate to have great mentors who have helped me grow both personally and professionally. That is a testament to the culture of CCB.
What advice would you give other Country Club Bank associates about advancing within the bank?
Work hard, have a positive attitude and provide great customer service. Be sure to have a mentor, and take advantage of the opportunities presented to you.
