Driving For Hope Golf Tournament | July 21
Christopher Schorgl was spotted at this year’s Driving For Hope Golf Tournament. It was hosted by Catholic Charities of Kansas City-Saint Joseph on July 21 at Lakewood Oaks Country Club in Lee’s Summit. Now in its second year, the tournament raises essential funds to support Catholic Charities—from emergency food distribution and housing assistance to job coaching and adoption services.

The mission of Happy Bottoms is to collaborate with the community to empower, connect and impact families by alleviating diaper need. Since 2009, the organization has been working to provide diapers to families in the KC metro area.

John Gagnon, Hallie Manon and Riti Ishanpara spent a morning sorting, folding and organizing items at Blessings Abound, a Christian not-for-profit organization that sells and recycles donated merchandise to provide aid to people in need.
30th Annual Raymore Chamber Golf Tournament | August 11
Olivia Nuhn, Erick Martinez, and Jack Walton were spotted at the 30th Annual Raymore Chamber Golf Tournament on August 11. It was a bit of a rainy day, but the opportunity to connect with our community was certainly a silver lining!

Our three intrepid volunteers took on the lunch rush as they prepared and packaged meals at Thelma's Kitchen. Thank you to Hallie Mannon, Eva Yourtree and Elise Jones!
Thelma’s Kitchen is a nonprofit community cafe and social venture of Reconciliation Services. Providing fresh, affordable meals in the heart of Kansas City, their mission is to create a gathering space and provide resources that align with their values of dignity, community and advocacy.
Joint Chamber Luncheon | August 20
Jay Kimbrough was spotted speaking at the Shawnee/KCK/Bonner Springs and Edwardsville joint chamber “Over the Fence” luncheon. Topics at the luncheon included spotlighting the Kansas City region's strong growth in several business sectors; resurgence in the arts and sports teams; and becoming a destination for visitors and new residents.
VTO | Kanbe’s Market | August 20
Members of the Credit Administration team volunteered at Kanbe’s Market, sorting through fresh produce for the organization. This produce, which otherwise would have been wasted, now gets a second chance at reaching families and community members in need.
Kanbe’s Markets is a 501(c)3 non-profit on a mission to build a more inclusive food system by transforming food loss into food access. Their goal is to eliminate food insecurity while simultaneously reinvesting into our communities and reducing food waste.
VTO | Harvester’s | August 21
It’s definitely not your average day in the office when you find yourself shucking corn! Our fabulous FCM’s all gathered for another joint VTO opportunity with local FNBO associates. Together, they sorted and packaged food for the organization.
Harvesters is a regional food bank serving a 27-county area of northwestern Missouri and northeastern Kansas. Its mission is to mobilize the power of our community to create equitable access to nutritious food and address the root causes and impact of hunger.
Head for the Cure 5K | August 24
It was a perfect morning for the 23rd Annual Head for the Cure 5K! Our CCB runners and walkers included Daniella McKim, Morgan Gosney, Ashley Ridings, Meghan Summers, Victoria Kukharets, Rose Callier, Pauline Leitgeb, Nicole Root and Abbi Ford (not pictured).
Based in KC, the mission of Head for the Cure is to inspire hope for the community of brain cancer patients, their families, friends, caregivers and other supporters, while celebrating their courage, spirit and energy.
Animal Health Summit | August 25
Woof, meow, neigh or moo, the Animal Health Summit was the place to be! Amy Wilcox, Elise Jones, Kaitlin Guthrie, and RJ Knox represented Country Club Bank as one of the event sponsors. The Summit was put on by the Animal Health Corridor.
VTO | Lead to Read | August 26
There’s nothing better than finding a beloved childhood book when you’re sorting books for Lead to Read! Thank you to Lauren Polich, Abbi Ford, Zachary Stachelski, David Martinez and Sabrina Soukthavong for volunteering.
The mission of Lead to Read is to support the social, emotional and reading skills that are foundational to student success by advancing literacy and mobilizing community volunteers. The organization has four flagship programs, including providing reading mentors to schools in the KC metro area, individualized tutoring, local author read-alouds and free book baskets at various community partner locations.
VTO | Sleepyhead Beds | August 29
Members of the Marketing team and Nikki Smith visited Sleepyhead Beds to distribute mattresses and sort donated sheets. Sleepyhead Beds improves the quality of life for Kansas City families in need by providing redistributed beds and gently used bedding.
