NAWBO Chicks with Sticks Golf Tournament | July 14

McKinley Williams was spotted at the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) 5th Chicks with Sticks Golf Tournament. The tournament supports the Kansas City chapter and NAWBO’s mission to empower women business owners, foster community connections and create opportunities for success.

XAMSLAM Volleyball Tournament | July 26

The 8th annual XAMSLAM Volleyball Tournament for the Maxwell T. Ward Foundation took place on July 26 at Shawnee Mission Beach Volleyball. The foundation was created to celebrate life and support a brighter future for those with cardiovascular illnesses.

Led by team captain Daniella McKim, Team CCB consisted of Chiani Pearce, McKinley Williams, Abbi Ford, Tyler Goff and a few extra friends.

Thank you to Seth Edwards, Rose Callier and Kim Stevenson who put together swag bags for the tournament!

Heart & Hands | July 28

The Heart & Hand’s Back to School event is coming soon. To prepare for it, CCB volunteers Erin Porter and Seth Edwards helped sort school supplies.

The mission of Heart & Hand Ministries is to work with people experiencing the adversity of poverty and provide them with services and support that meets needs, instills hope and provides the tools necessary to build flourishing lives.

Metro Lutheran Ministry | July 28 and August 1

Shawntal Singh, Tracy Union, Tia Richardson, Mary Taylor, Lily Bradley, Della Wilkerson, Rose Callier, and Kindra Sheridan visited Metro Lutheran Ministry (MLM) to help pack and sort school supplies on July 28. A second group of volunteers that included Mary Taylor, Abbi Ford, Lisa Cutler, Sabrina Soukthavong and David Martinez stopped by MLM on August 1 to continue the work.

MLM helps families and individuals break the cycle of poverty, supporting them in achieving housing and personal stability, food security, and self-sufficiency.

Pawsperity | July 31

Volunteers gathered at 1WP to pack up school supplies for the families supported by Pawsperity. Thank you to Alissa Taylor, John Gagnon, Janet Rickard, Rose Callier, Tracy Union, Faith Lanning, Tara Ledbetter, Tammy Huddleston and Lauren Polich.
