Heart n Hand Back-to-School Bash| August 9
At the Heart N Hand Ministries Back-to-School Bash, CCB volunteers assisted in distributing school supplies to families getting ready for the upcoming school year.
In the photo, Donna Gicante poses with a Heart N Hand staff member. Other volunteers that day were Joyce Vechnak-Sampson, Serenity Boedicker and Macy Williams. We would also like to give a shout-out to Sheila Stratton, Melanie Riley and David Scott for their volunteer work in July at the Heart N Hand Ministries Food Pantry.
Pawsperity Onsite at 1WP | August 9
CCB volunteers gathered at 1 Ward Parkway to fill backpacks with school supplies and positive messages for the children of Pawsperity’s program members. Each backpack included a handwritten message encouraging them for the upcoming academic year!
Participants included Tracy Union, John Gagnon, Brittany Nelson, Nicole Dunn, Abbi Ford, Kari Dunn, Skylar Britt, Molly Amey, Leigh Adams and Hallie Manon.
Pete’s Garden | August 19
Daniella McKim and Jose Benedetto volunteered with Pete’s Garden package meals for families dealing with food insecurity and to prevent food waste.

Kanbe’s Market | August 22
Sarah Capps Hamburg, Eva Yourtree and Brittney Ryan volunteered with Kanbe’s Market to sort donated produce. The nonprofit organization provides access to fresh, affordable and healthy foods to people experiencing food insecurity.
CASA Superhero Run | August 24
The Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, held their annual Superhero Run on August 24th at the Sports Field Recreation Complex in Leavenworth, Kansas. Country Club Bank sponsored the run and our volunteers dressed in superhero costumes to help out. Heather Padelli dressed as Wonder Woman.
