Heroes for Hospice 5K Run - June 10
Heroes For Hospice, founded by Country Club Bank associate Jeff Whelan, hosted its ninth annual 5K Run/Walk this year, raising $20,000 for Midland Care Connection and Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care.
The organization's mission is to raise awareness and support for hospice and palliative care and to provide assistance for those who cannot afford care. Since 2014, the annual 5K has raised more than $200,000! Thank you to Jeff and all the CCB associates who participated this year—you are impacting many lives!
Harrisonville Customer Appreciation - June 16
Country Club Bank showed its customers in the Southeast Region our appreciation by hosting a Customer Appreciation Day.
FosterAdopt Connect Office Chair Games - June 22
Country Club Bank was a sponsor of the second annual Office Chair Games benefitting FosterAdopt Connect. Held at The LEX at the Kansas City Convention Center the night of competition brought several businesses together to have some fun and support kids in foster care.
The Battle Within Wiffle Ball Tournament - June 23
This year's wiffle ball tournament fundraiser raised more than $150,000 for The Battle Within. The funds from the tournament help create pathways and experiences for veterans, first responders and frontline medical personnel suffering from post traumatic stress and depression.
Congratulations to CCB SVP Dail Blake, who serves as the board president at The Battle Within.
KC Pet Project - June 27
CCB volunteers recently lent a helping paw by volunteering at the KC Pet Project. Activities at the shelter help support the daily care and enrichment needs of shelter animals. Volunteers did light landscaping, made enrichment treats, sanitized transport carriers and helped the Canine Care team during their day at the shelter.
KC Pet Project cares for more than 14,000 animals a year and works with other animal welfare organizations to increase the number of homeless pets adopted and focus on lifesaving programs promoting pet retention, identification, lost pet reunions and pet ownership education throughout the community.
Olathe Chamber Social - June 30
Country Club Bank hosted the Olathe Chamber Social, opening the College Boulevard financial center to the business community for an afternoon of networking. Cold beverages and some ice cream added to the fun—and helped attendees beat the heat!
