Pawsperity | MOVED ON-SITE to 1 Ward Parkway, Tower 4 | TOMORROW: August 9 |10 a.m. - Noon

Help us fill backpacks and write a quick note of encouragement for Pawsperity students' children as they prepare to go back to school.

Can't join us for the whole time? Come for an hour or pop in for whatever time you can to help!

Pawsperity helps impoverished families become self-reliant through job training in the high-demand, high-pay trade of pet grooming. Based in Kansas City, the organization is the only 501(c)(3) nonprofit grooming school in the country.

Pawsperity’s education-based approach not only financially empowers single parents in poverty by equipping them with credentials in a competitive market but also ensures students focus on improving their family’s future through parenting, communication and budgeting classes and life skills courses. Other wraparound services tap partners in the community to provide mental health support, medical services housing, food assistance and case management.

Heart-N-Hand helps restore hope and rebuild lives for those facing homelessness, poverty or unexpected hardships in and around Belton.

  • Community Partners: Provides fresh produce to more than 35 local partners for neighbors in need

  • Animal Feed: For nonprofit rescue farms

  • Compost: Unfit for human and animal consumption

You should wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little dirty and closed-toe shoes.
