Several CCB associates take the lead to raise funds for nonprofits.

Padelli’s United Way Leadership Is Recognized in Leavenworth County
Leavenworth, Kansas, Mayor Camalla Leonhard recently recognized several United Way of Leavenworth County board members for their work on behalf of the organization.
CCB associate Heather Padelli is the event chair of United Way of Leavenworth, Kansas. She is also the Financial Center Manager at Leavenworth South.
During the recognition ceremony, Mayor Leonhard presented a proclamation designating October through December as United Way months in Leavenworth County to coincide with the period in which the organization holds its annual drive to raise money to support basic needs for residents of the county.

Highbarger Leads FashionAbility Gala Benefit
Christee Highbarger, Chief Risk Officer, and her husband Greg have been named honorary co-chairs of the 2023 FashionAbility Gala, an annual fundraiser for Inclusion Connections.
Inclusion Connections is a Kansas City nonprofit serving individuals with developmental disabilities by creating access to meaningful employment, inclusive opportunities for community involvement and better options for independent living.
The gala, to be held February 18, 2023, features a fashion show, dinner and live and silent auctions.

Powers Co-Chairs Tour de Fork
Shannon Powers, Financial Center Manager Olathe - College, served as co-chair of the 5th annual Tour de Fork fundraiser, held October 6, 2022. Tour de Fork is a culinary-themed event that benefits youth served at the Olathe Unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City.
The fundraiser brought in more than $213,000, beating the previous record by over $20,000.
All funds raised through Tour de Fork support youth ages 5-18, with particular emphasis on youth in disadvantaged circumstances, by providing a fun and safe environment to learn, play, meet new friends and grow.

Whelan is "Most Wanted" Honoree
Jeff Whelan, Vice President Commercial Lending, is raising funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters by participating in the organization's "Most Wanted" auction, which is slated for Dec. 10, 2022. The selected honorees were featured in the November issue of The Independent magazine and will be honored at the annual auction on Dec. 10, 2022.
Honorees have worked for several months to put together fundraising campaigns and auction packages.
