CCB has welcomed several college students as interns this summer. Meet them here—and then make a point to greet them in person, if you haven't already!
Lowell Burd | Loan Operations
A senior at Indiana University, Lowell is majoring in finance and accounting. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Lowell is interning this summer with the Loan Operations department.
On campus, he’s involved in Kappa Sigma and the Real Estate Club, where he continues to grow professionally and socially. Lowell played the violin for 12 years, developing a strong sense of focus and determination early on. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

Kane Clendenen | Commercial and Digital Bank Operations Department
Kane is a third-year law student at Northern Illinois University College of Law. He's originally from the small town of Mendota, Illinois, with a population of just 7,000. Kane is interning in the Commercial and Digital Bank Operations department.
On campus, he’s actively involved in the Business Law Club and First Generation Law Society. Recently engaged, Kane enjoys grilling ribeye steaks and spending time with his dog. His small-town roots and dedication to his studies and community make him a valuable member of the team this summer.

Maria Wendel | Marketing Department
Maria is a senior at Missouri State University majoring in advertising and promotional marketing. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Maria is interning in the Marketing Department this summer.
On campus, she’s an active member of Delta Sigma Pi, where she currently serves as Senior Vice President. Outside of work and school, Maria loves exploring new places—from trying unique coffee shops to traveling when she gets the chance. She also enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.

John Rebein | Treasury Sales Department
John is a junior at Trinity College Dublin, where he’s studying business. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, John is spending his summer interning in the Treasury Sales Department.
At school, John is involved in a student-managed fund club and the American Football Club. Outside the office, he’s passionate about staying active and creative! He’s into drone photography, cliff jumping, golf, hiking and chess. He also enjoys cooking, with duck being his favorite dish to make. Whether he’s exploring the outdoors or diving into strategic thinking, John brings energy and curiosity to everything he does.

Lauren Brock | Commercial and Digital Bank Operations Department
A senior at the University of Kansas, Lauren is majoring in marketing with a minor in sales. Originally from Leawood, Kansas, she’s spending her summer interning in the Commercial and Digital Bank Operations Department.
On campus, Lauren is involved in Sales Club, holds a corporate outreach position in the Insurance Club, and is an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, where she serves on the Nominating Committee. She brings a sense of adventure and curiosity to every experience, having studied abroad in Florence, Italy. In her free time, Lauren enjoys going on walks, playing pickleball and practicing yoga.

Jacob Muckerman | Credit Department
Jacob is a senior at Rockhurst University pursuing a degree in Finance. On campus, he stays active as a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and playing on the Rockhurst soccer team. Originally from Overland Park, Kansas, Jacob is spending his summer interning in the Credit Department, where he’s expanding his knowledge of the financial services industry.
A fun (and slightly painful) fact: He's broken nine fingers over the years! Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer, hunting and fishing.

Wen Clough | Commercial Credits & Lending | Marketing Department
Wen is a recent graduate from the University of Missouri - Kansas City, where he earned his degree in business administration with an emphasis in entrepreneurship. Raised in Kansas City, Wen is interning in the Commercial Credits and Lending department this summer.
At UMKC, he was involved in the Enactus and the Block Consulting Lab. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, playing sports and video games, and listening to music. His passion for creativity and strategy makes him a valuable part of the intern team!
